When choosing pianos for our inventory, there is a process that prepares them for our customers. It begins with a selection of the best pianos nationally available. Next there is a conditional inspection. Following is a 21-point inspection to eliminate any pianos that have deficiencies now or that could occur in the future. For those pianos that are approved, we spend an average of 40 to 60 shop hours of labor to bring them to their most potential. Finally, there is a below-market valuation made for each piano. We then have the confidence that our pianos will provide many years of musical enjoyment and be of lasting value.

Preliminary Consideration

  • SELECTION – Only the very best pianos available are considered from local and national resources.  We select only premium or professional makes, models, ages, and types.
  • ACCEPTANCE – For the pianos that are selected, 3 out of 10 pianos on the average are eliminated for unforeseen conditional reasons. Not all pianos meet our standards to invest many more shop hours into.
  • PATIENCE – A holding period for testing stability and condition.  The waiting period varies depending on the piano, but patience has always proven to provide lasting value.

21-Point Process

Each approved piano undergoes a process of inspection, calibration, restoration, and/or repairs as necessary. These procedures ensure optimal value and most potential performance.

Value Pricing

There is a national market evaluation of the instrument regarding age, type, brand, and model. With a commitment to integrity, each piano is priced below market value. The England Piano Process emphasizes serving our customers. We believe our pianos are better and of more lasting value than other instruments in the market.
